At the Lakme Fashion Week, 2016,Mumbai, veteran fashion designer Ritu Kumar known for her love of Indian textiles unveiled the Label, Ritu Kumar, Autumn/Winter 2016 with her collection 'vintage sportswear' which included a smattering of key pieces from the Spring/Summer 2017, collection as well.

The pret collection was all about colorful palette and soft tones, creating a must-have collection for next summer. The collection included off-shoulder tunics, smart maxi dresses, printed skirts and playful dresses. What's a summer without the white? There were a lot of summer whites and pastels in the beginning of the line, culminating in a splash of tribal inspired prints to cap the show.

Young Bollywood actress and showstopper Kriti Sanon brought a vivacious energy to the ramp as she walked in a dress inspired by the patterns and motifs of Kashmiri weaving.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the collection, Amrish Kumar, CEO, LABEL by Ritu Kumar said, “Today, fashion speaks about a certain individuality yet is incredibly connected with the network of people who wear it. Hence, at this presentation of the AW’16 & SS’17 collection we have invited dynamic young online content creators and fashion influencers to experience the collection on the ramp.”
