Whether it’s the beach view room or an award winning spa you will be spoilt for choices at Krabi province that is abundant with an ocean that lures your adventurous bone for its snorkeling and scuba diving. Krabi is one of the well-known tourist destinations about 763 km south of Bangkok by road or an hour by flight. So if you are planning to honeymoon in Krabi – here’s a list of three hotels that got to experience and can vouch for.

The Rayavadee Premier Resort Hotel

Tucked away amidst beautiful beach, coconut trees and a backdrop of beautiful sheer cliff which is any rock climber’s delight, this is honeymooner’s dream come true. It’s stylish and serves Thai cuisine that is utterly delicious. If you are staying here then a dinner at restaurant The Grotto is a must. It nestles under the ancient limestone cliff on the edge of Phranang Beach shaded by beautiful trees and foliage. It’s the most intimate and romantic place to sip on the cocktails and watch the sunset. It’s also a fantastic place to get married if the guest list is petite. We got to sample the delightful and innovative cuisine at the Raya Dining restaurant that seats guest inside as well as on the open air area. It is open for breakfast and dinner.

The Pakasai Resort

Surprisingly you would have to look hard to find this beautiful resort that is situated in the centre of all tourist activities yet shielded away naturally from all prying eyes. It’s atop a cliff with beautiful flora and fauna all around. It’s tranquil and gives the intimacy required to a newly married. The beach, shopping and the popular massage salons are just a stone throwaway from the resort. The rooms are spacious with a balcony.

The Adora Spa here complements the natural beauty of the place. Book your appointment here after a day out to experience the world famous Thai massage to awaken your senses, renew and rejuvenate. As soft yet deft finger massage and knead your pressure points you will feel the tension leaving and making you relaxed and utterly light. Our stay here was enjoyable especially as we didn’t have to walk for the usual shopping.

Phulay Ritz-Carlton

If you are an avid traveler and a connoisseur of luxury there’s no way you would have heard of the Ritz-Carlton group of hotels. The Phulay Ritz-Carlton is a luxury resort featuring 54 one bedroom pavilions, each with 4 meter beds, beautifully hand painted cupboards and doors (you might as well be walking into an art house) personal plunge pools and a view to kill for. If that’s not enough stroll down leisurely to the Raw Bar that overlooks the beach and a private island where guests can be ferried to enjoy and sunbathe. Or simply choose to look at the beautiful sunset with your beloved.

Oh yes, on the way if you happen to meet the baby elephant strolling after a leisurely bath with its mahout don’t forget to give it a friendly rub, or carry a banana to his delight.
