Wedding planner Shradha Malik of Vivaha_Wedding Solutions travels to the beautiful jungles of Chitwan, Nepal with WeddingFables and come back mesmerised with the beauty of the forests while staying right in the middle of the forest at the luxurious  Meghauli Serai Jungle By Taj Safaris. Here's what she has to say about the stunning resort.
I’ve always wanted to visit Nepal, land of my childhood favourite snack Wai-Wai !! So when I got a wedding inquiry earlier this summer for an intimate wedding somewhere in the jungles of Nepal I was very excited, And then as luck would have it Arati Thapa from WeddingFables asked if I would be interested in visiting Nepal, the Meghauli Serai Jungle By Taj Safaris, I jumped at the opportunity. It felt like the trip was designed just for me. We landed at Kathmandu just a few days later and then took a Yeti flight to Bharatpur. The small aircraft with a capacity of just 30 people was another experience I enjoyed kickstarting my wonderful journey to this beautiful country full of natural beauty.
Greeted by the Taj Safaris staff at the airport we drove another 3 hours from the airport to the  property and what a welcome we had. There were some 10 staff members singing us a beautiful welcome song clapping and foot tapping with big smiles on their faces and the lobby looked beautiful with an infinity pool just outside overlooking the River Rabti! Check in took just two minutes and we were given welcome drinks and snacks and a rice white wine to taste!
Our villas were huge with a small pool attached, a bathtub ready with flowers and warm water were ready for us and the best part were the walls of the villa. Every villa had a wall hand-painted by a local artist that told a cultural story and so beautifully done up.  As it was the monsoon we couldn’t go to the main national park but only to the buffer zone, but even then we spotted many rhinos and herds of deer, wild elephants and numerous kinds of pretty looking birds during the jeep and elephant safari, that were both one of a kind experiences .. and while on the boat safari we spotted the endangered ghariyal!
Nepal is an untouched beauty, so pretty so green and the people are so kind .. the food is very similar to Indian food, roti. vegetables dal, chicken curry, fish curry you name it and they have it, and so flavoursome.
The hospitality at the Meghauli Serai resort was out of the world and their spa facility was one of the best I’ve visited.. so relaxing and an experience, I really enjoyed.
The property has a total of 30 rooms divided into 3 categories so it’s just perfect for any intimate celebration like a 25th anniversary and 50th birthday or a small cozy wedding or even a honeymoon. The food, hospitality, location scenery are all at point! And it’s a perfect location for nature  lovers and wildlife enthusiasts! I would say a must it's definitely a must visit property with a experience you’ll remember for life.
